Overview
Optimal dietary strategy for weight control is matter of discussion. Basic approach in weight management remains energy balance and total intake per day. The role of diet composition regarding macronutrient is still controversial. Diet intervention should be directed towards sustainable life-style changes including eating patterns and physical activity. It is necessary to change the obesitogenic environment to healthy low-fat approaches.
