Overview
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) angiography is principally new non-invasive imaging examination method introduced to common practice in 2015. OCT angiography uses motion contrast imaging, and takes advantage of blood flow to visualize superficial and deep plexus of the inner retinal layers which are branches of the central retinal artery, the outer retinal layers – retinal pigment epithelium plus photoreceptors and choriocapillaris simultaneously.
